publishiNg
Over the last few years I have branched out into publishing, specifically on illustrated non-fiction books. I worked with Penguin on my own book, and in 2024 I worked with Cambridge University Press on a heavily illustrated non-fiction title - out in 2026. Most recently, I have been creating a series with Wordsworth Editions of F. Scott Fitzgerald special edition covers. I am keen to work with more art directors, cover designers and publishing teams on exciting new covers and illustrated titles.

heart
I specialise in drawing with heart, sensitivity and capturing the diversity of the human race. If you have a topic that’s a bit taboo (mental health, sex, women’s health etc.), I’m your girl!

full of ideas
Ideas generation is where I shine, so while I can absolutely tick off your list of required illustrations, if you need a little guidance I can pitch ideas that would add soul, humour and something unexpected, so your book is crammed full of beautiful illustration that makes people feel something!

experience
I have experience in illustration for adult non-fiction, adult fiction and book covers.
women's health, the economy, life lessons are just a few book topics I've illustrated so far!

ANNA, EDITOR AT CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS
Hazel is a wonderful and inspirational artist. She immediately saw the potential in our project and came on board to what was a fledgling idea and lent her considerable talent to bringing words to life. Her art is a rare blend of striking, beautiful, often provocative but always relatable. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Hazel who is professional, kind, innovative and energetic in her approach.
